Naragonia

Naragonia delivers unique folk with refined, strong energy. The duo formed spontaneously in the summer of 2003 at the Andanças festival in Portugal. Soon after, Naragonia became popular in the folk world, earning respect at home and abroad with 9 critically acclaimed albums. Since 2003, Naragonia has played extensively across Europe.

They inspire numerous other musicians, and many of their songs are covered or recorded by groups from Portugal to Russia, Sweden to the United States. Some of their tracks have even become standards in the folk scene.

Over the years, various collaborations have developed with theater (Tal en Thee and Theater de Spiegel) and international groups and musicians (Fernhill, Andy Cutting, Paulo Lameiro, Guy Swinnen, Gregory Jolivet, and many others). This has led to a rich story of many travels and wonderful encounters.

Naragonia was nominated in 2022 for “Best Live Band” and “Best Album,” in 2023 for “Best Live Band,” and won the “Best Live Band” award at the 2024 Flanders Folk Awards.
